KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Survey Mapping Technician, you will work closely with project surveyors and engineers to process and map geospatial data using CAD and GIS software. Your role will involve translating field data into accurate maps and spatial datasets, supporting project development from start to finish.
Key responsibilities include:

Process survey data to develop accurate maps and spatial datasets using CAD and GIS software.

Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to ensure data accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Prepare and maintain geospatial data for integration into GIS systems.

Assist with the preparation of survey documents, reports, and GIS analyses.

Maintain organized project records, including mapping files and GIS datasets.

Provide technical support to field crews and resolve data discrepancies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum high school diploma (or equivalent); an associate degree in surveying, GIS, mapping, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in land surveying, GIS, mapping, or a related field.

Proficiency in CAD and GIS software.

Knowledge of geospatial principles, surveying techniques, and mapping practices.

Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work with both CAD and GIS systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and other team members.
