Dominion High School Improvements
SUPPORTING ATHLETIC FACILITY UPGRADES AT DOMINION HIGH SCHOOL
J2 provided civil engineering services for athletic facility upgrades at Dominion High School. The project included new press boxes, tennis court lighting, and a weight room expansion. J2 completed site surveys, planning studies, stormwater analysis, a Site Plan Amendment, and supported construction during bidding.
THE CHALLENGE
A key design challenge involved addressing building egress: the existing layout would have required costly and extensive retaining walls due to significant grade changes at the rear of the building.
THE SOLUTION
J2 worked collaboratively with the architect, and the team identified an alternate egress path that avoided those impacts.
