DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Kerry Rice, PE, PMP

As the son of two math teachers, it’s no surprise Kerry grew up with a love for math and an aptitude for science, logic, and problem-solving. Most of Kerry’s career has been in water resources and disaster response. He was a key player in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts as well as Hurricane Katrina where, post-disaster, his team performed over 1M housing inspections in 90 days for FEMA.

Kerry’s focus at J2 is identifying and documenting in-house processes to ensure efficiency and consistency while ensuring the employee experience is meaningful. His primary goal is to make the practice function more efficiently. Kerry proudly walks the talk of J2’s values, like people first and commitment to excellence, which resonate deeply with him.

Kerry, a native Marylander, attended Virginia Tech and never left the state. When not working on projects around the house or with animals, he serves the community through Boy Scout Troop #39 and with Upper Loudoun Little League.

LET'S GET PERSONAL

The Rice household includes cows, chickens, ducks, and a dog.

20+ year volunteer for Upper Loudoun Little League in roles including coach, umpire, and board member (he’s umpired games alongside all six of his children!).
