Lucketts Elementary School Wastewater Treatment Plant
IMPROVING WASTEWATER FACILITIES FOR THE LUCKETTS COMMUNITY
J2 provided engineering and survey services to prepare a site plan application for a new wastewater treatment plant – increasing capacity from 4,550 to 6,300 gallons per day – to service the school, community center, and fire station in the Village of Lucketts. J2 performed a certified boundary survey and a field-run topographic survey of the site including all underground piping for the school and wastewater treatment facility.
The Solution
THE SOLUTION
To keep operations running, the team staged water and sewer installations during both projects. The WWTP also required extensive coordination with our wastewater partner and setting a schedule to ensure the contractor could connect new lines once school was out of session.
THE CHALLENGE
All existing utilities at the aging school and treatment plant had to remain operational during construction. The 45-year-old infrastructure (especially utilities) required evaluation during construction for connections.
