Tripleseven Road
DESIGN THAT PROMOTES WALKABILITY AND IMPROVES SAFETY FOR STUDENTS
J2 designed new pedestrian improvements along Tripleseven Road to enhance access and safety for students walking to Countryside Elementary School. The project included new sidewalks, an asphalt trail, curb and gutter, drainage upgrades, and a high-visibility crosswalk. J2 also extended the existing HOA trail to provide direct, ADA-compliant access to the school.
THE CHALLENGE
Minimizing impacts to surrounding infrastructure and environmentally sensitive areas was a key concern
THE SOLUTION
J2’s design utilized the existing right-of-way to avoid utility relocations, which helped reduce project costs and accelerate the construction schedule The improvements supported Loudoun County Public Schools’ goal of promoting walkability and student safety. ADA-compliant facilities and environmental clearance ensured regulatory and operational goals were also met.
