As a Land Development Project Engineer I, you’ll work alongside senior leadership on the development and production of projects from initial concept through construction administration. From large-scale residential developments to mixed-use commercial complexes and educational facilities, our diverse portfolio allows for accelerated learning and provides well-rounded experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the project manager, other senior staff, and team with the development and production of projects from initial concept through construction administration

Assist in all aspects of the design effort, including, but not limited to:

Rezoning & Entitlement Applications, Preliminary Plans, and Site & Subdivision Plans

Open and closed storm drainage systems including stormwater management
-
Water and Sanitary Sewer system design
-
Compliance with zoning ordinances, proffers, and applicable facility standards

Erosion and sediment control plans and design E&S control measures in accordance with state criteria

Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD using Carlson Design software

Develop a working knowledge of VDOT, state, and local standards, policies, and procedures

Remain current with Local, State & Federal design standards and regulations to ensure compliance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
